Great Addition to your Dillon
1 of 1 found this helpful I tried a few of the press on and glue on knobs in the past, but I didn't like any of them. They would fall off and there was just a dot as an index. Then I got one of these for my 650, then I ordered two more for my 550 and 500 presses. I really like these and have loaded many, many rounds with no problems. I have never had one turn by itself, they stay put where you set it. It is true you can not index the starting point to the Ø mark, but If you could that would be one more thing that could get off, I would rather have it set in stone and not be able to change. When setting it up for the very first time I just turned it all the way in, then backed it off until the Ø is at the top, and call that the start position. It worked great like this. Then over time I have written down all my loads for the different powders, like "4.5g of XYZ powder = 3.4 turns" etc. And I can then go right back to the EXACT powder load later on. Of course I still check the weight of the first few cases. It has really helped me because I load for so many different rounds. I use to waste so much time getting the powder weight right before I got these. So I am very happy with it.

Great RO Unit
3 of 3 found this helpful It is not often I write a review, but after installing the APEC ROES-50 I bought, I had to write one.
I know good equipment from junk; I am an RF engineer, aircraft pilot and aircraft A&P mechanic here in Tucson, so I know good equipment from junk. Unfortunately when buying mechanical things I am usually disappointed. Most things do not live up to their advertisement hype and are junk. That is not the case with the APEC RO system. I am not an RO water expert, but I spent over 10 hours researching RO water systems for my house before deciding on the ROES-50. I bought this for under the kitchen sink and to feed my refrigerator ice maker. The RO unit came with everything I would have needed for a normal house. All I had to buy extra was extra tubing to connect my icemaker. I ordered it from APEC online. I must say the RO filter installation book was the best set of instructions I think I have ever seen. A clear color picture of the lay out, different color tubing for everything so you cannot get mixed up (this was really nice), clear easy to follow step by step numbered instructions from start to finish. And a clear easy to find phone number you can call if you have a problem. Even the quality of the paper in the book was excellent. It was not really necessary, but I added a permeate pump to the unit to make up for my low water pressure. I could have got a RO unit with the pump installed from the factory, but I saved money by getting this one and adding the pump myself, and they are easy to add on later. After installing everything “it all worked” and worked well. The permeate pump REALLY works and speeds up water production a lot. With my low 45 PSI water pressure into the permeate pump, the faucet open and storage tank empty, my ROES-50 makes 32 oz of water every 7 minutes, that is 51 gallons a day. Now having the faucet open all day is not real life use, but you “could” make 51 gallons a day if you needed to. My old COSCO RO unit only made about 10 gallons a day and dumped waste water 24/7. This new APES unit shuts off when the pressure tells it the tank is full. You can test this by turning the tank off (to speed up the test) and watching the waste water shut off after 30 seconds. The RO tank has a shut off valve on it so this can be done easily. And THAT was a nice touch my old RO filter did not have a shut off on the tank.
If you have the permeate pump on yours you can turn the tank valve off, put the waste tube into a bucket so you can watch it, open the faucet and watch the RO water come out and watch the waste water pulse on and off into the bucket as the pump does its pumping. Then you can turn the RO faucet off and watch the waste water stop in 30 seconds. It is easy to test this way and see the pump work, and see the shut off valve shut the water supply off and see the waste water stop coming out when it thinks it is full. For an old MO boy that had to “see it to believe it”, this convinced me it all was working great.
I highly recommend AEPC if you want a RO water system for the house. And, I highly recommend getting a Permeate pump if you have less than 50 pounds of water pressure, or want to increase the efficiency of your system.

Worked fine
It fit and worked for 3 months, then broke. I will not buy one from them again.
