Lightweight and Great computer but just has some issues

This MacBook Air is nice and light. Had a couple of issues however.... First there was no sound at all coming from the internal speakers. Also connected headsets... no sound. I'm thinking it's a cable or motherboard issue. It booted with no problem but when it was time to update 10.6.8 after the update the computer would not boot. Tried to reinstall the OS and after the install the Air would not boot to continue the install. Ran Disk Utility and found no errors but was unable to format the drive. Was able to format the disk but not the drive. Also the computer runs a little hot. The fan does work but does get hot. Finally was able to reformat the drive after using Carbon Copy Cloner from another MacBook Air and loaded 10.6.8 back on. Tried to do a Lion install and it would not finish the install. Put 10.6.8 back on. It looks as if there is a bad sector on the drive. Will check it out later. I will only this Air for testing purposes until I get all the issues resolved. I have another MacBook Air I just ordered which will be my main Air.
