Remote Hi-Hat Cymbal Stand – Griffin Auxiliary Foot Pedal Drum Hardware High Hat

A lot of Metal for the Price
First all, it is a Chinese generic knock off of whatever. Everything is there, it's sturdy, smooth, fully adjustable and the metal is of a very good quality. The price was a clincher...all of this for a third of other brands. Tama, Pearl, DW will all have sell points, but for the individual who will not be playing any stadiums (except High School), in the not too distant future....IT IS A GOOD BUY!!! Arrived very swiftly and well packaged.

The 402 is a Top Dog snare drum
The 402 has been a Top Dog snare drum for decades, and with a few tweaks...it's a monster. Added a Ludwig P-86 throw off (no drilling), Evans heads and DW True Hoops for added clarity and rebound. I owned a '69 back in '72 and it was a jaw dropper back then . Used it in Orchestra, Rock, Show groups, and Funk..it did it all. There are boutique drums for a couple of grand and still don't hit the sweet-spot like a Ludwig 402. Note: Aluminum shell doesn't ring like the brass. The dealer was great to work with and arrived at lightning speed. If I weren't afraid of getting strangled by the misses, I would buy the last one.

Simple, cheap ,smooth, fast; what's not to like.
Terrific throw-back to the 70s. Simple, cheap ,smooth, fast; what's not to like. Put it on my Yamaha DTX set with a "tennis-ball" beater and am having a ball with it. Ill be switcihing to using it on my DW set with Remo mesh heads for practice. Profile: Retired from professional music many years; more of a hobby. Tama was the sauce in my day but I was a Ludwig loyalist. Hi-Hat and pedals were awesome; really nice bearings in the Kick pedals. Used a Rogers spring on it and turned it into a total monster.
