Okay, but there are better solutions.
The gear sling is a great idea and I use one on every trip I take, but not this one. The ENO Underbelly gear sling weighs 6 ounces, is made of good material and does the job holding up to 50 lbs of gear, but is not the best bang for your buck. I use a ENO Sub-7 hammock for my hang and a second Sub-7 as my gear sling. If you ditch the caribiners and use amsteel whoopie slings to hang it, it weighs only 5 ounces and holds 300 pounds of gear. It also gives you a back up hammock for a buddy (or if yours fails mid trip) and both cost around 50 bucks. Pay a bit more and come out ahead.

Organization made easy.
Marsupial pouches are super lightweight and convenient to help keep your gear organized. The silnylon material weights almost nothing, colors make it easy to remember what's in each pouch (red-fire kit, blue-water filter, green-sundries like sunscreen and bug juice) so grabbing what you need is fast and easy even by flashlight in the dark. Not completely waterproof, but resistant enough especially if you are using a pack cover.
