Fender stratocaster trem arm tension spring
If you have a Stratocaster, you should get one of these in the packet with the spare trem springs and you should install it down the trem arm hole, before screwing in the trem arm.
The spring provides 'back pressure' resistance to the arm and keeps the base of the arm tensioned against the threads of the arm and the trem block.
This keeps the arm 'where you left it' and prevents the block threads wearing.
I have installed them on guitars where they were missing and this ahs been a great improvement.

Sir Henry at Rawlinson End
2 of 2 found this helpful The mid to late 1960's spawned a plethora of new comedy talent, from the Allan Bennett, Jonathon Miller, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore team, the Frost Report Team and Do not adjust your set teams, members of which would become comedy icons.
The Do not adjust your set team included future Pythons Terry Jones, Micheael Palin, Eric Idle and Terry Gilliam, the program also featured the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band of which, singer Vivian Stanshall was a member.
Vivian Stanshall, post the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band came up with the Rawlinson theme which he refers to the Rawlinsons on the Intro and the Outro song by the Bonzo Dog band.
Vivian Stanshall was bordering on genius, and was a multi-talented writer, Rawlinson End is probably one of the most bizarre, surreal and absurd films you will ever see, it is also hilariously funny if you are into clever, comedy. The visual gags and the off the wall script puts it into a class of its own.
The 60's spawned a melting pot of comedy talent as I have previously described and this film, although made in 1980, does hark back to the some pythonesque absurdity.
The film is a study of English eccentricity at its most absurd, the eccentricity is superbly exagerrated, but strangely believable! Indeed the scene with the horse ridden through the house actually happened in an eccentric family I knew!
It is quite a dark film but also very funny, even though the story line lacks any real coherence, but although it may appear an unconnected jumble, it seems to work.
Vivian Stanshall did not receive the wider acclaim he deserves, I would urge you to check out his musical career with the Bonzo Dog Doodah band if you have not already, some of the songs he wrote and performed were ahead of their time and no one else has managed to write songs in that vein since. He is sadly missed.
