The poor man’s submariner!!
2 of 2 found this helpful This is an amazing watch! I’ve been collecting watches for years (having an affinity for high quality affordable timepieces, homage watches and great finds of all kinds) and this is definitely top-tier in timekeeping quality. I haven’t seen this particular model in American markets where it’s nearly identical cousin, the 8932OB (the only difference being four lines of text on the dial instead of three), is usually seen so it must be from the Japanese market. That being said, the 26970 has Japanese quartz movement powered by a Hattori PC32 and in comparison to my Seikos, Bulova Marine Star and even my 1980s vintage Vostok Amphibian, I can say in all honesty the Invicta 26970 dive watch is the most accurate time piece own. I punish this thing! I shower with it, mow the lawn with it, etc. and it’s 316L stainless steel case can take a beating. The bracelet is great as well, however, I’ve taken a liking it on a tropic rubber strap and occasionally a nylon RAF single pass strap just to change up the look. This thing gets mistaken for a submariner all the time even though the second hand ticks instead of sweeps and it holds its own looking like the legendary watch. I usually set all my watches to the second according to the atomic clock in Boulder Colorado but this Invicta keeps such excellent time I’ve taken to using it as my base watch to compare my other watches to as it doesn’t seem to lose more than a second about once every 3 to 4 months which puts it on Rolex caliber time keeping quality. I honestly can’t say enough about it and I’m blown away that a watch with a movement costing under $10 retail by itself can deliver such precision with durability to boot. It’s easily one of the best watches I’ve ever owned and worth whatever you pay for it. The Hattori PC32 do tend to be known to have hands that can be a little wonky in not being exactly on the second/minute indices when you’re setting it but if you’re a highly detailed person like me who can learn to look past that by letting it’s high precision make up for it then this is the watch for you as it’s a minor setback for something that keeps Swiss quality time at a cheap throwaway watch price. Harking back to the Rolex submariner‘s from early 70s on until they changed to the super case in the mid 2000s, this watch has class, reliability and it looks like the tool watch that made Bond famous. If you’re a collector like me, you want this for your collection...you’ll be glad you did!

Great G-Shock...
Great multi-functional shock resistant watch! A little big at times in some applications but it’s an awesome survival watch and DEFINITELY something you’d want for a zombie apocalypse!
