Zapco ST-6X SQ Class A/B 6-Channel Sound Quality Amplifier

Excellent Amp!

Has a good compact chassis for a Class AB amp. Gets warm as expected but not overly hot. Crossovers are perfect for running active 2 or 3 way without a DSP. Amp does not add any noise to the system and outputs a warm, detailed sound. At its price point, it is easily the best bang for your buck. This amp outperforms many higher end amps that are just 4 channels and deliver less power, but have a more popular name.

Fixed Poor Factory Headunit Sound

I had limited options to fix my Sony Premium Sound in my Ford vehicle. This product allowed me to correct the horrible settings on the factory DSP. Installation was easy and the accompanying software is user friendly. I chose this particular product because AudioControl has been around a while, they put a large amount of time in R&D, and their products typically out perform their competitors. Additionally, they are made here in the US which is hard to come by these days. With the DM-810 I am able to actively crossover my components, set time alignments, and tweak the sound with the 30 band EQ. This removed the muddy sound I previously had with the factory DSP. It is a high investment up front, but this product will be able to be integrated into future systems. Manufacturers are making it more difficult to replace factory HU with aftermarket ones, and the cost of dash kits and harnesses is also expensive. OEM integration is the way car audio seems to be headed, so this product just makes sense to get.

Actually locks in place

Bought this after buying the updated version that adds capacity. That one does not lock in place and slides off when loading the mag. This one does lock in place and adds the right amount of length for a better grip.
