Amazing when it works, not reliable, can be a dangerous tool.
This flaslight is very well known on the forums and youtube as unreliable. While this flashlight worked, it was quite amazing with good run tine in lower modes, even 5000lm mode had quite a run time.
Using this flaslight in a very low. mode, it made a popping sound and released smoke from the head and got very, very hot. I was in a very confined attic space when this happened and didn't have a whole lot of room or any other light to respond to the situation. This flashlight is dangerous and should be avoided. There are a handful of others claiming the same.
Later revision DX80 models we purchased for work did not dangerously fail but half of the LEDs failed. Taking advantage of warranty costs way too much to figure out delivery in the USA and imalent provides no help in order to resolve the situation as easy as possible. I recommend buying flashlights elsewhere.

Absolutely great quality. Lots of power in a tiny package.
Lots of awesome. Not much to complain about. Fan is very loud, as expected. I replaced it with a noctua 12v 40x40x20 fan, so quiet now.

Love it, not a good value to have to purchase separately as it SHOULD come with every leatherman wave/charge etc.
Works perfectly at keeping my leatherman in my pocket/etc.
