Not just nurses

There were about 7456 military women (6800 of those were nurses) and 3500 other American women in Vietnam. It is unfortunate that this monument - which is definitely meant for all American women who served there - only shows nurses. In 50 or 100 years the people on the Mall will only see them and not the others who gave of themselves. There were 8 military women who died in Vietnam but 59 civilian women who died.
