WORKED A GREAT DEAL BETTER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD
Not much to say here.
Bought it to use with an iPone (intentionally misspelled) 7, and have yet to kill the battery (charged nightly). Sound quality with OEM Apple earbuds are the same as if they're connected direct with the lightning adapter.
