An unforgettable diver
Orient is a little known brand from Japan that makes automatic watches. They’ve produced automatic watches in-house movements for almost as long as Seiko. They’re diver’s rival Seiko and Citizen models. Some say it’s as good as certain Swiss divers. I’ve owned multiple watches in the brand and never been disappointed. The Mako series is highly popular due to its low price point and high quality.
On this model, I most like the shimmer of the blue dial. The oyster-style bracelet is comfortable to wear for days on in. I’ve had no issues with running late or early. I’ve been tough with these watches, even modded one with aftermarket hands. Currently, I own two Makos and will likely purchase more. At under $200, this watch packs a helluva value.
