Works well overall.
The candles work fine, but the remote has to be within 2 inches for it to work, not the 15 feet described for the item. After discussing the situation with acquaintances, I believe this problem is common. The remote is still nice to have when the candle is inside a container.

I got what I wanted.
This phone has many features, most of which I have no interest in, some which I specifically didn’t want. I am able to ignore those which I don’t care about (e.g. connect to Siri), and turn off what I don’t want (e.g. answering machine). So it should work well for just about anyone.
