Small but powerful, easy to use in the wooded mountains
2 of 2 found this helpful I purchased 2 of these hand helds, one for myself & one for my neighbor. We are both retired and live 1/2 mile back a dead end dirt road in a holler surrounded by 4 mountains & we venture up into the woods quite often. We like the radios because they are small, and the antennas can be removed to attach a mag mount while in the side by side or used as a base station with a CB antenna outside on the roof. The radios are durable & the batterires last a fairly long time. We will be getting ni-cads for them this spring, another nice plus, As much as we use them, we haven't found anything bad about them. Nice product.
