no were near gm black, nor was it even the color black at all it was more of an infant poop dark brown, and the paint was so incredibly thin I almost used the entire can on the 1st or 2nd coat and still hadn't cover the bumper I was testing this paint out on, just glad I tested it because it would have ruined anything I tried to put this on
