Fastpitch
Found this online for my son who is 7 to get some practice from the other side of the plate. Found online for $20 and couldn’t pass up bargain, but failed to notice “Fastpitch”=a box with a girl playing softball. I don’t know if the padding is different but the 14” chest was perfect so we hope he’s protected. Time will tell as always.

All Star
Not much of a gear guy and never noticed the All Star brand. Wanted a good mitt to catch with my boys that they could also use if they wanted to develop the skill. All Star seems to have great strategy to make excellent products at affordable price to get the youth hooked at an early age.

Velcro straps
The product reviews and descriptions never really let the buyer know the straps were velcro. Should have guessed by the price. Trying to see if the all star company sells replacement straps, which seem like they would. If so, this is great for youth who have a hard time changing themselves, as observed by my recent dug-out dad duty this last summer.
