Adequate replacement
Part is a like for like replacement at least on the 2006 Ford SMax. Only Ford's poor design makes this part difficult to fit. This is not down to the product but Ford's routing of this cable behind all the computer wiring, sound insulation and what appears to be the a brake pipe gathering point.

Satisfactory replacement part.
Easy to replace part. Only requires 2 screws (J1) removing and prying up the old module off the doublesided tape. It is possible to recover the old tape but would be better if new tapes came with the module. No instructions needed, it's a straight swap once the battery is disconnected.

Broke on fitting
Seems like a low cost repair and it could well be but you will need at least 1 but more like 3 adjustable hose clips in addition to this kit.
The attached tack welded clip broke off almost instantly as I attempted to but around the exhaust after cutting the sheet steel to length. Once it's off there is no reattaching without welding hence the hose clips.
