As good as the original

The product DOES replace the original. However, be aware that this replacement, like the original, is largely made of plastic components. If you broke your previous one due to it being plastic, you will need to be cautious not to break this one also. Install is easy.

Don't waste your money

Tried on two different TV's, and in multiple locations/placements of this antenna. and it doesn't work well in any of those attempts (at least 12-15 variations). Barely pulls in any channels and I have nearly directly line of site to hill where broadcast antenna are mounted. My old set of 'rabbit ears' pulls in at least 3 times more channels than this item. Also, when it built a few channels, some of them state 'no signal' when you actually try to use them To be fair, the few it pulled in AND WORK have a nice, clear picture.
