Works as it should
I imagine it's pretty easy for something like this to do its job. It fit perfectly on my 20" bar and seems to be made of a reasonably sturdy material. I haven't thrown it around or beaten it up, but it has perfectly protected my chain while taking the saw to and from the shed.

They probably could have worked....
In the description, they state that they can attach to the broken shafts of the mechanism. Unfortunately, I imagine there are many ways the shafts could break. In my case, I was not able to attach the one on the drivers' side at all, and on the passenger side I managed to push the handle onto the broken shaft, but the screw was not big enough to actually reach any metal in the shaft. So....in conclusion they didn't work for me.
However, they seem to be well made and I'm sure if the shafts had broken differently, they would have worked fine.
