very dissapointing
0 of 1 found this helpful installed in my 58 ford and engine immediately ran like trash. very hard starting,once running would continually cut out. put the old points back and runs again like it should. have to save up the extra $40 for PPertronix

electronic conversion
I intended to replace the point set in my 66 Rambler American with Pertronix setup but this complete, "plug and play" HEI distributor is half the price and was simply a matter of polling out the old and putting in the new....over and done in ten minutes and driving down the road! The car starts much faster now and has better performance.
