Case Bowie 50419 Sheath And Western W49 Bowie

The Case Bowie sheath was a force fit for my Western W49 Bowie until today when I customized my non-factory, stag handled, 1988-built W49 exactly as Bill Bagwell recommended in chapter 32 ("Customize A Bargain Bowie") of his book "Bowies, Bid Knives, And Battle Blades". As a matter of fact, my stag handle looks remarkably similar to the one on the cover of his great book. The metal work took me 120 minutes or so with a water quenching container, bench grinder, Dremel, and a few hand files; needless to say, I'm not as proficient as Mr. Bagwell. The Case sheath looks a heck of a lot better in my opinion than the Western sheath that accompanies the W49 Bowie. The Case sheath is one stone-cold bargain. I am considering removing the belt loop and strap then converting the snap into a frog for inside-the-belt carry. It already rides there very well. I doubt anyone can beat the excellent, high quality, Case sheath for the money spent.
