If it's something you need...
Have an old Xbox lying around, and a old TV that needs a DVD player? This kit will let you get some extra use out of your retired game system. With the DVD playback kit in place it's just as easy to use as a standard DVD player, and loads discs more quickly than most players do.
The Xbox does not have an HDMI output, so it's not what you need if you're trying to hook up a newer TV. On the other hand it has S-Video and component outputs, so it will serve better with higher end older TVs than a new DVD player will. (The few DVD players that are still in production lack those outputs.) And a new Blu-Ray player has no analog video outputs at all so it won't work with those older TVs.

Got Unifying? You need this
If you have Logitech Unifying products and you've lost your receiver (or it isn't working), this is just what you need to get them working. The dongles I received are exactly as advertised and the price is right. They worked just like my other Logitech Unifying receivers, as they should.

An untraditional rendition of a classic Christmas story
This is my favorite movie or TV version of A Christmas Carol, though far from the most traditional. (If you want the best traditional version you're looking for Alastair Sim.) The animation is simple but effective, the music is heart wrenching, and it gets across the heart and soul of the story in only an hour.
The Blu-Ray transfer is adequate. This isn't the best looking version of the movie conceivable (a full restoration would likely look even better), but it's the best looking version available and it's far more than good enough so that it's not an impediment to enjoying the show.
