It's an iconic, classic QUARTZ movement watch whose value has held over time.
1 of 1 found this helpful There's only ONE con associated with this era of TAG (Techniques d'Avant Garde/Heuer) and it's not one to which I subscribe. Specifically, it's an irrational bias in certain parts of the collector culture against Swiss manufacturers who embraced change rather than decried it. TAG/Heuer capitulated to the pressures of the Far Eastern Quartz movement onslaught of the 1980s/1990s by doing what was imminently logical, especially in that time and place. They introduced watches with a (QUALITY, put in caps for a reason) quartz movement into their offerings. I've owned my personal sample of this watch since 2005 and all I've had to do is change the battery. This isn't as easy as might be assumed by a novice, but there are videos online that show you how to do it correctly and it's not rocket science either. It is the second most accurate Quartz movement I own, after my Bulova Men's 96B258 (Apollo 15 EVA "Moonwatch"). It's one of the most prized watches in my collection because it represents many time proven Heuer derived advancements while avoiding some of the less "conservative" design choices that they made in the years just following this model. Buy it, cherish it and wear it with PRIDE.

Richman/Soloff's tribute to Davis/Evans is a landmark iconic event in it's own right.
Soloff was a Trumpet player who shaped the Musical aesthetic of an entire generation of Trumpet players in ways similar to what Davis brought to it a generation before. Soloff's always been an inspired acolyte to the virtues of Davis' contributions to Jazz. This stands on its own. Not as a "copy" but as a different perspective on the composition and an illumination of how Davis/Evans shaped it. It's a worthy Homage. I heartily recommend it.

A near perfect balance of Popular. Rock and Jazz. Like V and VII & VIII
1 of 1 found this helpful Perhaps not "quite" as ambitious as CTA, Chicago (II) or III, it's a very well executed, nearly perfect blend of all the things that made those earlier records exciting. Albeit edited for conciseness. V, VI, VII & VIII are, for me, their middle period "peak". X,XI, Hot Streets and XIII, XIV are all each idiosyncratic, each in its own way. Each has its own standout tracks, in relief to other less synergistic efforts. Their later peak, XVI-forward (until even THEY began to have a tough time deciding what number was the "right" number for their new release) was certainly welcome for us "faithful" that suffered through the '80's, when our Band students thought that Chicago 16 was the actual name of the band. It gave us a good excuse to hold music appreciation classes on Friday's. The Mo-Fi SACD release is the best sounding release yet. But the Rhino releases are a close second and often come with alternate tracks.
