Grab one if you can!

I do classical music concert recording. This is the third one of these machines that I've owned. They are absolutely stone reliable, and the sonics are as close to "straight-wire" as you can get, along with the flexible feature set, especially at this price point. I don't use them with batteries, but if you do, they use standard AA batteries, not some expensive proprietary battery like the DR-100. Tascam should not have discontinued this model.
