so much fun

This is my daughters favorite princess lego set. its not frilly, its outdoorsy and more realistic. except, well the castle and maybe the bears haha. In general It is easy to assemble and the directions for most lego sets are super easy now, but this one can be put together without instructions after the first 2-3 times, and it has a way to "hide a key" which will entertain the younger kids for a little while. We all know that adults who step on lego's can't break them, super durable!

loved that it had pink and purple bricks

the idea instruction books that come with these are so awesome, and even the lego website have great ideas for young kids just beginning to build. However I feel that every kid should start without the instruction book so I usually remove it if we aren't building something specific to go with our lessons. Free for all building is all I ever knew as a kid and it does so much amazing things for the imagination. building towers or oddly shaped cars. all you have to do is show them how to build the base of a car or the foundation of a house or tower and they are off and running.
