Meh... Not enough adhesive

I wire a lot of boats, I used this for under the console where it's dry so no big deal, but there isn't much adhesive (if any) inside this stuff compared to the absurdly expensive 'anchor' brand stuff at West Marine. This should work fine in dry locations, but I wouldn't trust it for anything that gets wet a lot.

Looks identical at first, but far from it.

I received the item and immediately tried to install it. First the alignment hole is way too small, you have to improvise there. Then the item itself is too thick, much thicker than the original, so it works with the case off, but as soon as you click the case together, it depresses the button and does not let it back up, so it powers down the computer. There does not appear to be anything I can shave down inside my laptop or the switch itself, so I guess I will have to go with a used switch.

I bought these in April and everything worked great for 4 months, then I developed a dead misfire. I assumed it was the coils since I had just replaced the plugs and wires with these wires, but the problem persisted with new coil packs. I removed the wires and tested for ohms, and no 4 was an open circuit even after bending the wire different directions for about 30 seconds. I attempted to remove the boot but the wire literally broke in half in the middle, then I noticed there was a slice mark near the plug boot. Nothing special about my truck, these were just defective from the start.
