K&F Pentax 67 to Canon EF adaptor is a big disappointment
3 of 3 found this helpful A few weeks ago, I purchased one of the K&F Pentax 67 to Canon EOS adaptors to use my Takumar 300mm f/4 Pentax 6x7 lens on my Canon EF mount camera. Delivery took weeks. When it arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it appears to be of robust construction, and it fit both my Takumar lens and my Canon camera quite snugly.
However, the adaptor only allows the lens to achieve sharp focus out to several hundred yards. Truly distant objects, such as buildings, mountains, wildlife, stars, etc.are not in focus when the lens is at infinity focus. It is as if the rear lens element needs to get a few millimeters closer to the camera focal plane, indicating that the K&F adaptor is slightly too long and does not preserve infinity focus on the lens, as advertised.
K&F has so far ignored my requests for assistance, which is disappointing, as I have purchased several of their items in the past and have been quite happy.
Bottom Line: Steer clear of the K&F Pentax 67 to Canon EF adaptor.
