Coming from the mk1
1 of 1 found this helpful The APC40 MKII is much more colorful than the old model that I used for a few years. If your using ableton with this unit, coloring your clips make it easy to recognize when using this colorful unit. I like the Mkii, its smaller, more compact and easy to transport. It seems to "fit" better than the older one, not near as bulky. It fits very nice on a laptop stand as well. Moving the 8 knobs to the top of each column is nice to, completely programmable and are nice for adding effects specific to each row. I have always enjoyed using the A/B fader located in the bottom right of the unit, with these new lighted A/B buttons on each column make it so easy to control this slide fade. So many more features.

Plenty of pulling power.
I own a 1990 Chevy truck and have used barrel type actuator's, these wear out over time and I thought I would try these on my truck. I was really worried they would not have the needed pulling power to open the stock latch, however, they work great. One thing I really like about these is that I no longer have that loud "POP" from the barrel type actuators, these are really very quiet, they just have a nice sound over the barrels types. I also found that using these G R E A T brackets, made the job so easy, very clean install. I hooked these directly to my alarm on my truck, on auxiliary channel's using Bosch 30amp actuators and using my alarms key fob, its one button operation for each door. I cant say how long they will last, only had them a month or about but they seem to be working great.
