Lovely plates, as described, beautifully packed and quickly shipped. Very pleased
For a novice collector, this book is definitely one to add to your collection of reference materials. While a majority of the marks are hand drawn, they are done well enough to identify the multitude of makers of Nippon porcelain. The numerous color photos are clearly a benefit in identifying the various wares that fall into Nippon category.
Definite pluses are the descriptions of decorations, the section about Geisha wares and reproduction alerts. Specially appreciated the inclusion of Butler Bros., catalog.
Was hoping for information about marks and stamps, such as locale and dates. Also was disappointed about the section of Nippon Patterns, Styles and Shapes. Majority referenced the prior two books in the series.
Overall, pleased with the book and happy to have added it to my library.
