X-Tronic® Model #3020-XTS 75 Watt Digital LED Display Soldering Iron Station

Great value, features normally found on models twice as expensive.
Works just like it should, and less expensive than other models. After holding it to a pad for a few seconds and melting out silver solder, it might take a second to come back up to temp, but you can see when that happens on the display. If you're patient, it's great.
AKG P220 Large Diaphragm Studio Condenser Recording Mic Microphone PROAUDIOSTAR

Good mic for a great price.
This is a great starter microphone for just about anyone. There is negative feedback in the circuit, by design, which helps corral the typically peaky high frequencies of less expensive microphone capsules. This is apparent in voiceover and narration work, which requires a mic that doesn't provide too much boost in mid to high-frequency ranges, less the narrator's voice becomes grating to the listener. This mic is a great mic for vocal starters with a good pickup pattern that seems to reject side noise fairly well, and doesn't seem responsive at all from the rear.

Lewitt hit this one out of the park by actually putting less in the mic.
There are absolutely no cons to this mic. The sound of this microphone is comparable to a CAD e100s (which I can actually compare now as I recently acquired one) or much more expensive tube transformer based microphone. There is no haziness of fuzziness around the edges of the sound it picks up. Only rich, full sound reaches the DAW. The sound seems so full that I had to add gain because I couldn't believe the clarity I was also getting. When not in a proper sound deadening environment, I'm even surprised by the clarity and richness of the unwanted sounds it picks up in my house. This mic does not have the extra bells and whistles of additional patters, low-cut/high-pass filters or even the much newer features available on Lewitt's own higher tier models, but what it does have is simple and pure distilled microphone sound. Add to that the inclusion of their trademark cut-away shock mount and magnetic pop screen (one of the best in the business in my opinion) and you have the perfect high quality starter microphone at a much lower price when compared to microphones of comparable design and build quality. Lewitt hit this one out of the park by actually putting less in the mic.
