Superb combo kit
Continental supply the original belts for VAG ( Volkswagen Audi Group ) so naturally this is the kit I steered toward for my Audi A4 b6 TDI - AVF - 130 bhp engine - ive used contitech belts previously on my mk3 golf gti 16v abf engine for the serpentine and timing belt kit and the quality is superb - though these days kits are mixed with parts from different places so here goes - tensioner made in Romania - idler pulley INA france - serpentine belt Germany - all installed after painstakingly getting the front bumper off and placing in the 'service position' this is required to do the tensioner and idler pulley - its very doable by the diy mechanic - jack axle stands and a selection of torx bits allen 🔑 M8 bolts to hold the front of the slam panel whilst in 'service position' - highly recommend this kit made a huge difference - runs very smooth - no vibration coming off the tensioner - cars at 130k now so an excellent preventative measure - my old tensioner had craked in the housing but wouldn't of known also the idler was rough but again wouldn't have known being a diesel the sound of the engine drowns out minor noises so im so very glad I have replaced in kit form - i also changed the OAP ( Overunning Alternator Pulley ) at the same time which is highly recommended and came off easily with an electric impact gun - if you think about the job these pulleys are doing day in day out - alternator charging your battery - powersteering pump aiding your steering - air con compressor keeping you cool and aids moisture in winter months - this is a heavily affected area of your engine and critical so if your car is older like mine 17 years old and done over 100k like mine 130k or lots of short journeys using the air conditioning it would be my recommendation to replace the lot for complete peace of mind - Continental ( Contitech ) is a must for any VW , Audi , Skoda , Seat as a direct replacement for the original
