Finally, a sturdy & stabile economy tripod
I have been searching for a sturdy, reliable tripod that actually does the job it was intended to do. It seems the current crop of $100-$200 products are flimsy, wobbly rubbish that can't even stabilise a tiny pocket camera, the Brunton is different.
The Brunton BT-TR-F-TPOD-240-ALPR Tripod is heavy and sturdy enough to compete with the Bogen and Manfrotto equipment of decades back. This tripod is really solid. If you require a tripod for a serious DSLR (especially while using a long lens) forget about the light-weight carbon-fibre and tin contraptions, the Brunton is the answer to your prayers.

Tiffen Photographic Filtres: The time tested choice of professionals.
Professional photographers & cinematographers have relied on Tiffen filters for almost 3/4 of a century (They even received an Academy Award in 1999!).
Slipping an affordable and optically correct Tiffen UV filter on your camera's lens not only reduces the effects of Ultraviolet rays on your photos (purplish cast) but protects your lens from abrasive dust and other environmental hazards that can ruin expensive optics. In the worst case, buying another filtre is far more economical than replacing a lens.
I have depended on Tiffen filters for at least fifty years and trust me, not only have they improved my photography, but they have saved me much grief while working in the field.
There are cheaper filtres available, but I see no reason to risk my photos or lenses for a few dollars "saved".

The Breedlove Premier Dreadnought is everything an American made guitar should be. The fit and finish of this guitar is flawless, the sound is deep and expressive. As other, much older companies allow their quality control to slip..... and prices to rise ridiculously, Breedlove and a few other indigenous guitar builders are producing impeccable instruments at reasonable prices.
