100% NECESSARY FOR VR

If you want to use it for more than 20 minutes without your phone melting your VR headset(exaggeration but wow does your phone get warm!) your going to need this gadget. It helps cool (and so protect) your extremely expensive property (YOUR PHONE) and it is sleek with a long lasting battery to boot. As advertised it lasts 6-8 hours per charge which is between 2-4 sessions of use for me. The build materials feel quality and it fits perfectly on my headset allowing all my phones vr features while proctecting my all important phone.

Worked amazing for 11 months, had to RMA, received a new unit, works amazing

Extremely tight fit in my system, butted right up against the GPU due to large heatsync
I'd suggest this in a lower m.2 slot if you have that option, if you don't then you're likely going to have a very tight squeeze.

Update 1 RMA:
Purchased this item on Feb, 2021 My unit ceased functioning Jan, 2022. So just under 1 year. It was used to store and play games, for the last 2 months of its life record and store 4k images. Was experiencing random bluescreens with PCIE errors on restarts/random intervals, until finally my computers ceased to read it in any form -- It does not list in Bios/Computer Management/terminal, caused rigs in which it was installed to blue screen with a PCIE error on restart & randomly the behavior of which I confirmed with two rigs.
I am RMAing the device, and will further update this after its completion, however as my unit failed and I have to go through this process, I must remove two stars from my initial review and no longer recommend this product.
Depending on the results of the RMA, and my experience with the RMA team, I will alter my review, rating, and recommendations accordingly.
Update 2 RMA'd: I had no issues with the RMA, unfortunately I was not informed what the issue with the old drive was, however I was shipped a completely new one when they received it so my original unit must have been confirmed dead by the RMA team.
The new one works as well as the old one before it stopped working, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that my issues were a fluke, as I have another ADATA drive that is older than this which is still going strong.
Reinstating my previous feedback for this item: 5* and fully recommend
