I did not like this camera for its' CMOS sensor. Would rather like a CCD.
I'm sorry to say but I do not like this camera very much. It has a CMOS sensor rather than a CCD type. Of course, a CMOS sensor consumes much less power than does a CCD but, they suffer from a lot of noise. If you want the clearest digital images, you should stay away from any camera that is fitted with a CMOS sensor. My problem was that I simply saw the Canon name and made the assumption that they'd never make a digital camera with a CMOS sensor but, I was wrong. This camera produces very noisy, speckled images, especially with low light conditions. I'm going to replace it with a PowerShot S90 or S95 ASAP. I operate a scientific imaging technology business and I also know quite a lot about electronics and semiconductors having been in the semiconductor industry for 30 years. If you're picky about very clear, low quantization noise photos, you also wont like this camera.

These lasers are dim.
Don't do what I did. Don't expect to see this laser line with indoor lighting. It's just too dim.
