Rockin' bows pt2
2nd album for the young, Croatian "Masters of Classic Baroque".... And this time, under the guidance of Bob Ezrin, who's guided Kiss, Alice Cooper, Pink Floyd & Deep Purple down the years, so if anyone knows how to Rock....
None of the above are represented on this album, but they do "rock out" to some AC/DC (Highway To Hell), but with a twist, guitar fret burner Steve Vai wades in to the fun and there's a guest vocal from Elton John on the cover of Fleetwood mac's Oh Well. Also turning a little aside from the Classical, piano maestro Lang Lang joins the duo on Coldplay's Clocks.
Again, a mixed bag; something for everyone, but sheer quality throughout.

All truth - No lies...
Well, they’ve cracked it….the stadium filling sing-a-long nounce of Bon Jovi, tempered with the Bluesy edge of Cinderella… I don’t know that I’d say it was Tyler’s Slippery When Wet, but if he tours it over here it’ll be in big rooms….

Lost in the mist
Stephen King movie adaptions are almost as prolific as his books; and like his books, there are great ones, there are "misfires" and there are overlooked gems. This is one of the latter; after a freak storm, a community tries to pull together in the aftermath, and then a strange, dense fog descends. And this is no ordinary fog; there's something in it.... A group trapped in the town's supermarket, at first pulling together begin to pull apart as the horrors slowly reveal. Thomas Jane is a great lead in this, and try to count the familiar faces from The Walking Dead; not a clue as to what's in the mist, btw...
Very tense stuff, and ain't no way I'm going to Aldi next time it's a foggy morning.
Top tip - if you get the special edition, watch the black & white disc....
