A characterful building
Not so much a "house" as two cottages (perhaps once a house split into two?), so the larger cottage has a rear extension and 2 of the three chimney pots, while the smaller cottage has just the one, of a different colour. Well-made, by Hornby Lyddle End (not Farish). Well worth having on my layout, at the poorer end of my village.

Couldn't be anything else
When I bought this, I intended it to be a vicarage in the village on my n-gauge layout. But up close, with its attached notice board and clock, it reverted to what it was supposed to be. It's just so perfect for the stationmaster it has got to be his. Beautifully modelled, like most Lyddle End buildings (nothing to do with Graham Farish), it is a great feature - not cheap but worth it.

Excellent phone for the older user
Not a whizz-bang smartphone, but an exzcellent phone for the older user. Large clear screen and large clear buttons. Clear sound, and ringer can be loud. Speed-dial facility, panic button, camera, radio, internet access if you really need it and can afford it. Soft-touch feel to it, and a clamshell, flip-top design so no more buttons pressed by accident. Green flashing light alerts you to calls and texts, red for low battery or when charging. Battery OK but not especially long between charges. Almost perfect!
