- l***o (191)- Feedback left by buyer.Past yearVerified purchaseI did not think the product worked upon getting it but it is just the display is very dim. I should have asked about it prior to buying it but it said it was pulled from a working environment so I thought all was well. It was not wrapped very well and the box it was shipped it was very poor but what can you do after the fact. I will get the display fixed and move on.

Great Machine
I bought this PC over a year ago, its run great! I did spend the money to replace the HD with a a solid state drive and it's a screamer! I like the i5 processor.

Worked to get my 2nd channel operational.
The unit that I bought was shipped in a plain small plastic bag. I was somewhat concerned that it should have been in an anti-static bag.
However, the unit worked on my scope to get the 2nd channel working.

Cheap MAX3232 Chip, gets hot.
2 of 2 found this helpful I found that I was very disappointed in the MAX3232 RS232 serial port drivers. I'm working on an Arduino project that does serial communication. They worked for a while, then suddenly quit. Puzzled, I replace them and found that these failed also. Bottom line is, the chip is not a quality MAXTOR, or TI chip. I discovered that the chips start oscillating and taking a LOT of current, 200 milliamps or more, and the chip gets quite hot.
I ordered some MAXTOR MAX3232 from Digikey and replace the chip on the board (not easy, very small surface mount), working fine now.
