Installed properly with correct air gap. Produced no spark. Spark plug included was useful. $6.35 to return it so I didn't and just utilized the plug. Bit the bullet on Sthil product and have ignition, Houston. Did arrive promptly however. Maybe just luck of the draw.

Bon Voyage
Excited to build this model and am now in the paint stage. It's a good idea to read some forums of others building this model as it may help in avoiding some mistakes. The deck stanchions weren't as fragile as the bridge set but you have to be extremely careful when showing off your work. A PE brass set would be a great improvement. I did add an Eduard PE detail set that gave the bridge some decking detail and some flood doors and vents to the hull. Used a few other parts in the set but many were too fiddly for me. Overall I love the completed model and everything fit very well if you sand a bit and dry fit everything. I drilled a hole in the bulkhead aft before attaching the stern section and added a couple pounds of (fresh) kitty litter to give it a little ballast as it was quite lightweight. Fitting for a "Gato". Bon Voyage!
