Sold me old stock V1 hardware

I recently found out that the parental control functionality is not what I was expecting. This is because I am using old firmware. I cannot upgrade to the latest because the box I was sent is V1 and upgrades are only possible for hardware V2. Also, why are TP-Link keeping the same "C3150" label and producing old V1 and new V2? I am not happy. Actual wireless performance seems very good. Worked out of the box.
