Best Value for a MINI Solar Generator Powerhouse!
This solar generator is a Great Value for the average consumer who wants a backup solar power station, without breaking your budget. I bought two of these refurbished units and as far as I can tell they function like "NEW". So, for around $360 each you get a unit that can run the average size refrigerator for about 7.5 hours, run your 1300 watt microwave, coffee maker, washing machine (if you have water pressure), internet router, tvs and video players (blu ray, dvd, etc.), multiple fans, lights, can easily recharge cell phones, ipods and other electronic devices; but not all at the same time. My strategy is to alternate the use of two of these devices, one in use, the other charging by solar panels or other means. In my tests this has worked out on several power outages in my local community , including during a Hurricane. One of those outages lasts 2 and half days, and I did not lose any frozen food or refrigerated items. Also, it was nice for the wife to run her coffee maker in the mornings. The only negative I find is that newer models of these units change out the battery chemistry to Lifepo4; which means these units should be used for a power outage, camping, loan out to friends or family for a tall gate party. I personally would avoid trying to use this as a replacement power source for the normal grid, it's not designed for that, although you could if you want/need to exhaust the power source in an Extended Emergency.
