cosmetic improvement nothing more
well, this version of painter is supposed to be an improvement in performance? what a joke! crashes every 15 minutes or so, freezes all the time and my system is ridiculously powerful. 32 gigs of ram, core i7 7700k processor, etc., takes about 3 minutes to undo a watercolor stroke. waste of money, but doesn't surprise me. corel releases version after version for one reason: to get their filthy hands on our hard earned cash

The best painting software
i like that Corel has included an option to access (via drop-down menu) all the brushes in previous versions of painter. the jury is still out in my mind regarding "thick paint" brushes. don't like the fact that they are on their own layer and cannot be manipulated with brushes from other catagories. still, looks promising. all in all i am happy with painter 18 and will continue using it.
