Bowtech Stryker Solution Crossbow A12404

More Than Impressed

Can't get over how quiet the Stryker Solution is compared to my Excalibur recurve crossbow. The accuracy after sighting in is incredible. The design and feel to the Solution is second none. I've had my eye on this crossbow since Field & Stream's, The Best Of The Best, review in 2013. I was able to purchase this xbow brand new for 40% of the original cost, with no taxes and free shipping via eBay. I hunt hardwoods and river bottoms and rarely can take a shot over 30yds because of tight shooting lanes. With that said, I'm a believer in kinetic energy (knock down effect) over speed, when it comes to crossbows. My bolt weighs approximately 568 gr - Easton aluminum xx75 bolts (385gr), Carbon Express Launchpad Lighted Crossbow Nock (18gr) and Slick Trick Crossbow Trick Broadhead (175gr). After sighting it in, I was grouping bolts at 25yds, 35yds and 45yds in a 2" bullseye. Cannot wait to see how this product performs from the treestand.

Smooth as Butter

This Daiwa Saltist Back Bay 4000 LT is one slick saltwater fishing reel! Although I use it both in Connecticut River (fresh/brackish) & on the Sound (salt). I paired this sweet reel with a Daiwa Saltist Back Bay 7'6" One Piece, Medium Weight, Fast Action Spinning Rod. This reel is as smooth as butter on the retrieve and although the spool is on the smaller side, I can sling my artificial bait close to 90yds; I use Power Pro 15# Super Slick Braided Line. I also added a little bling to this setup with a 35mm Gomexus Power Knob. You'll be the envy of your fishing buddies with this set up.
