reasonable enough at $6.
It actually works on some steel products as well as alloy and alumiunum. The cheaper the metal, the better it stains.
I can use it along with Birchwood Casey Gun Blueing as an additional coat to get the metal darker, faster. I think it also adheres better than the Blue solvent alone.

Reset sometimes required
I had ti call for extra instructions and to reset the Stick before ir worked the first time.
