Poor quality plastic is soft and bends before it will pull out any tabs.

One for All
2 of 3 found this helpful I have found this lens to be relay sharp. It is reasonably light and goes equally well with my D7100 and my D90. I only wish it was FX then I would be well pleased.
If I had any criticism of the lens, it is that sometimes the lens comes out on its own, which only happens when photographing downward and if you carry the camera over your solder.
It is a good lens and well worth the price, just buy it and enjoy.
