Excellent networkable home theater receiver. Awesome sound.
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought the RX-A2000 to replace my old RX-V3000 in a 6.1 set up. While the old one still works great, it can not decode the new HD audio encodings. I love the ease of set up with the built in mic in the new unit. Where I used to use an audio meter to set up speaker levels in the RX-V3000, with the RX-A2000, it is very easy and the on-screen set up menu is very intuitive. I also love the fact that it can be connected to my home network which enables me to play music and video from my computer or my WD network storage. Yamaha has created an Aventage remote control app and it's free from iTunes. With it, I can control the unit with my iPad or my iPhone (wifi). No more fumbling with the tiny unlit buttons on the remote especially when watching in the dark. The sound with the new HD Audio is awesome (Avatar Bluray DVD). And since it is 3D capable, it is ready for when I upgrade to a 3D TV.
The only thing that I was disappointed about is the lack the paper Instruction Manual. The unit's manual came in a CD but I think it is more cumbersome than a hard copy. To me, it is easier to just flip thru a book than to keep scrolling up/down, and left/right in a laptop, especially that sometimes you get referred to a specific page further up. No bookmarking there. But that's a petty complaint considering how capable and feature-packed the unit is. And by purchasing through eBay, I saved a lot compared with what I would have paid in the store. I think it is an awesome product and with the price I paid on eBay, it was an excellent value for the money.

Easy to use
I installed this thermostat in my house over a month ago and it has been working flawlessly. Easy to program, easy to make temporary temperature adjustment from the schedule and has all the features I could ever need. You are not limited to just 4 programming zones in a day as in other thermostats. I like the usage function to monitor my daily a/c usage. I also like that I can integrate it to Apple’s Home in the future since I don’t use Alexa or Google’s. Remote access via the app is very convenient and haven’t had any issues. It’s a bit expensive but if you can swing it, it is worth it.
