Purchased to modify

I had issues using this ring compressor ...

I had issues using this ring compressor . Then cylinder kept becoming misaligned while tightening and at on point the coiling mechanism came undone. It also had issues compressing the ring all the way, leaving the ring out little. I believe the spring metal was too thin. Compared to my large piston compressor tool. After several attempts I was able to install the piston.
