Plugged filter

I put it in hoping to clear up pool when pump came on after about an hour i could hear pump making a loud struggling sound my pressure was WAY HIGHER than ever before. i tried to back flush it water came out clear nnd pump was struggling. I pulled it apart and filter assembly and had a coating of, For lack of better word, snot Coated entire filter. After hour of disassembling filter and pressure washing it. I put it back together. Now i have little bubbles goo in the bottom of my pool that my sweep runs over and picks up only to have it reform. Not sure how to get it out but DEFINITELY WILL NOT USE AGAIN DO NOT USE Is my advice.
