Beads obviously dyed
Nicely strung with a good strong clasp, knotted strand. However, the faceted beads are too even a crayon blue colour, and the strand is only 17” long. I would not re-buy.

Great info, but horrible format

Lots of diagrams and line drawings. HOWEVER, bring along a hand lens as the type font is very tiny! Even though it's a large book, it's so crammed with information in such a miniscule type that you could get a real headache reading it.
Also, being that's it a paperback, it's floppy and unwieldy and enormous. It should have been spiral bound with hard covers to protect it somewhat. This is a reference book which will be hauled all over the farm. If you buy it, get a really large zipped plastic bag to keep it in.

Excellent series
Compact, easy to take only the volume you need to class rather than a bulky book. Ms. Stokstad has compiled an excellent series with tons of beautiful pictures. Well worth the cost for the 6 books and the MyArt Access card which comes with it. You could spend a lot more for each individual book at any auction or book sale internet site.
Be sure your set has the MyArt Access card and in a sealed package if you're buying it second-hand. The MyArt access card registration on their website is $24.95 for a year's access.
Does NOT come with the box slipcover shown in all the pictures, so don't bother asking about it.
I bought this set for my son's college art history class. It is assigned reading for several art courses, so he will get lots of mileage from the set.
