Actually not a Zombie Fan
I say I am not a Zombie fan, but I am a fan of good writing. Brooks uses Zombies to lay out some very important aspects of the human condition and does it without beating the reader over the head with his concepts. As to the actual publication, I always prefer hardcover books to about any other media. I will certainly read soft-cover or paperback books and I own an electronic reader so have no problem reading books electronically. However, I like the feel and longevity of a hardcover. This was a good price for a reasonable-quality hardcover book.

Sink strainer works perfectly.
My kitchen sink is old but in great shape. My old sink strainer lost most of its rubber gasket and wouldn't hold water. I looked carefully to see the type of plug my old strainer had and this one matched perfectly. I measured the old strainer's diameter and the new one had the same dimensions. This is lovely stainless steel and fits like it was made for my sink.

Jan Karon brings small town life alive in her books.
Jan Karon designed a wonderful series of books about a place called Mitford. The stories are like a slice of ordinary life with ordinary people in a small town. The townspeople are not perfect; they have secrets and bad moments, but Karon doesn't dwell on them. If you are looking for Peyton Place, this is not the series for you. However, there is conflict and misunderstanding as well as reconciliation and love. I really enjoy all her books. I am also our church librarian, and I wanted this book in our library to replace an old copy.
