It does work
Over the many years I've used a variety of "tuner sprays" (as they were once called) to clean contacts. The most common use was to clean the old manual channel TV's. Switch contacts tended to collect dirt and oxidize over time, so a cleaning agent was necessary. Dirty contacts have a scratchy sound or broken image (depending on what the switch controls).
DeoxIT has become the standard cleaner because it not only cleans, but leaves behind a preservative/lubricating agent that increases the time span between cleanings. And, unlike some liquids, DeoxIT is non-shorting electrically --- you don't have to worry about the wet spray creating circuit shorts.
If your non/partially-working switch just has dirty contacts and doesn't need replacing; DeoxIT is the way to go.

Works fine
It's B50 nylon cord dyed black and serves all my bowstrings which need it. All I expected, and got.

Fell Apart
Looks good, the adjustment has a wide range. Unfortunately after a few trips to the range the pivot pin wallowed out of its mount and the thing fell apart. No way to easily repair it.
