beautiful set.

Best Candyland Board
I was so happy to find this original board. I had bought the latest version of Candyland for my classroom and threw it away as the graphics were so hideous and overly distracting.
I will buy more of this version for future grandbabies as even my daughters (in their 20's ) agree it is far superior.
No wonder kids today are so hyper and distractable. they are surrounded by garish, visually upsetting items. Look back at the items designed for kids in the 50s and 60s. Gentle, soft colors, simple, appealing graphics. Today's items ( including the new Candyland) look like a psychedelic nightmare.

Vintage baby pins are better!
Glad I found these vintage safety pins for diapering. New pins are flimsy and not sharp.
Once again it's true- "they don't make 'em like they used to!"
